Z’EV Ariel Faith is a London based Jewish, Queer, Disabled, Transsexual, "Mad", Psychiatric Survivor, interdisciplinary Live Artist.
Z’ev also coined the term “Manic-Expressionism” to describe the frantic tendencies and maximalist executions of presenting their work that takes the audience to a place of chaotic crisis witnessing, dragging the viewer through a messy mutual raw, process of catharsis. Z’EV’s performance based work are rooted in themes that explore queer identity and gender performativity, psychiatric abolition, sadomasochism, existentialism, and intense and intimate hyper-vulnerability that he describes as “emotional exhibitionism” in which he derives an excitement and pleasure at revealing the private below the surface emotional experience that society conditions us to repress, creating a particular dynamic that transforms the spectator into a voyueristic role and often arising a response that elicits abjection, identification or discomfort. zevfaithart.hotglue.me @dis0rderless @manicexpression_ @mocalondon_we |
