Sewing Bee for the LGBT Community
Curated by Melissa Jo Smith
24 February 2013

A bee is a bringing together of people to accomplish something. We invite the LGBT community to take part in our 'sewing bee' to celebrate LGBT History Month. Bring your stories and experiences, your creativity and gossip, and come decorate a handkerchief to take away with you. Artists and helpers will be on hand to assist you in turning your picture, idea or story into a beautiful embroidered piece. Feel free to bring a drawing or photograph with you. As well as connecting with people and telling your stories, you will learn new skills and be part of a community gathering. Refreshments will be provided.
