Peckham Queer Art Boot Fair is back for 2024!!
Picture

Peckham Queer Art Boot Fair
Sunday 18 August 2024, 11 am - 3 pm
Bellenden and Maxted Road, SE15

This year the successful event returns for a second time running and it is even bigger!

We are coordinating more stalls across Bellenden Road and Maxted Road SE15. Consequently, there will be a huge variety of LGBTQIA+ artists and allies: exhibitors are of early, mid, established and outsider art careers. You can purchase wonderful works of art (such as prints, drawings, sculptures, photos, ceramics and clothing design) from amazing contemporary artists. Also, more local shops, cafes and businesses are involved to support the event and the community.

At MOCA London, Queer Life Drawing Conversations will focus on queer identities of the home and archival practice to celebrate Pride, including conversations with artists, in collaboration with Peckham Life Drawing. You can join in by drawing, posing and having a conversation. (If you have a queer object that you’d like to exhibit please contact Miles Coote - we’d love to hear from you).

MOCA London will have a stall with art publications including the free catalogue We have always been here, Veronica McKenzie celebrating the Rainbow Plaque of the Black Lesbian Gay Centre at the Bridge underpass 83 Bellenden road just a few meters away from MOCA London.

The event is organised in partnership with MOCA London, Miles Coote Queer Arts Limited and Lucie Russell (Peckham Life Drawing, Drawing People Together). A big thank you to everyone involved and especially those volunteering to make this event happen!
