Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens showed his untitled projection work in the darkened space. Eerdekens is well known for making sculptural objects that cast remarkable shadow shapes on the wall, seemingly impossible given the object or form that they come from. In the centre of the space stood a large metal rectangular sculpture with a wire mesh centre. Two opposing lights were cast onto the piece and on one side the shadow read ADMIRE and on the other REJECT. Further into the space on a wall at the end of the gallery he had placed eleven small pieces of twisted copper. Beneath them were small lit candles so that the shadows that were thrown up onto the wall spelled out: ‘I speak in words and you look at me with sentiment'.
